Founded in 1929, Uesaka is internationally renowned for its top-quality equipment and products. The company is headquartered in Tokyo Japan with branch offices in the United States. Uesaka remains a family run business with three generations of master craftsmen, designers, and machinists. Beginning in 1959, Uesaka expanded its product line and formed Uesaka Barbell Company. The Uesaka Barbell Company has been selected as the official weightlifting Equipment for the past several Olympic Games, including: 1964, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004. Uesaka was selected as the official weightlifting equipment for the 2009 World Weightlifting Championships and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The Uesaka Barbell Company is honored to have earned the coveted Category A Certification from the International Weightlifting Federation. We have and will continue to support not only the most elite weightlifting events around the world but the athlete starting up in their garage or the future Olympian picking up a Uesaka bar for the first time.
